A shared-map puzzle platform
where everyone explores together

World Sweeper is a browser game where players build vast shared maps on top of real maps and images, gradually exploring them together. It offers multiple game modes on the same shared-map foundation: MineSweeper, ColorSweeper, Nikakudori, and MojiChat. Cooperative progress, light area competition, and a spectator-friendly sense of place come together as solved areas remain visible on the board itself.

Highlights

3. Key Features

A giant shared board

Prefectures, islands, and custom silhouettes can all become large playable worlds.

Cooperation with light competition

Players work toward the same overall clear, but still decide who claims which area first.

Visible progress at a glance

Cleared zones remain visible on the board, turning puzzle progress into something scenic and watchable.

ColorSweeper variant

The same shared-map structure also supports a color-gradient swap puzzle, broadening the editorial hook beyond Minesweeper alone.

Easy to start

Players can jump in anonymously and only link Google later if they want continuity.

Browser-native

No installation is required, making the game easy to open, share, and revisit.

Flexible board variations

New boards can be assembled from background and mask images, making themed showcases straightforward.

Q&A

7. Suggested Q&A

Why use a giant shared board?

Because puzzle progress becomes visible as scenery. Cleared space leaves a readable mark on the board itself.

Is it cooperative or competitive?

Primarily cooperative, but area claiming adds just enough competition to create tension.

What is ColorSweeper?

It is a shared color puzzle where players claim an area and swap tiles back into the correct gradient. It uses the same persistent world structure while offering a clearly different play feel from Minesweeper.

Do players need an account?

No. Anonymous play works immediately, with optional Google linking later.

What comes next?

The game is completely free right now. Over time, the plan is to expand public boards, improve presentation, and introduce ad-supported monetization.
